Well, today I got rid of my 4 adult labs. They were fighting due to the dominant male dying. They did tune it down, but with no male in the tank, they wont breed anymore. So, in return I was given 6 Brichardi fry. All about an inch long. The guy has so many it's ridiculous. He has two breeding pairs. One had fry three weeks ago, and now those fry are taking care of the new batch. All the rents do is sit and watch. Well, they are now in a 30g tank. I also have 4 guppies and some duckweed in there. I have 1 rock as the only decoration. I am going to sift through my things this week for some decor.

Anyway, how long do you guys think it'll be before they pair off? I figure about 4 months. But I am not sure. I am feeding them Fry Starter #2 from angelsplus.com

http://angelsplus.com/PelletStarter.htm

It has a protein content of 55 %. It's also been given a Breeder's award. I am hoping they start putting on some size. I will post pictures later. I am really excited!

I should have the pictures up tomorrow. The antivirus software expired on my comp. I bought some more today. I was not going to use the internet without it!

Surprisngly, I already have pictures! They aren't bad too! Here you guys go!

I hope you guys enjoy!

I kept some for a few months from baby size like yours and they grew surprisingly quick and they looke better the older they get

I had 6 in a tank and I had no problems with fighting

Mine didn;t pair off and I sold them on due to closing my tanks down so never got to see them breed but I;d definately keep them again

Good luck and keep us updatedwith them

Thanks! I havent seen them fight , yet. I say the dominant fry mess with a small one. But the small one just stood there while the bigger one nudged his fins with his mouth. It was kind of weird. I have had Bricahrdi before, a reg. and a albino. They grew VERY fast, but never paired off. I hope my chances are good with these!

I've always though brichardi are one of the prettiest lake tang species, especially when they're full grown. Best of luck with them kribensis.

I love my Brichardi. From what I know they breed like crazy. I only have one now, but am moving him and others to a larger tank this weekend. I will be adding more Brichardi then and hopefully it will stop him from picking on my Frontosa. Mine was just silver when I bought him, but now has almost a lavender cast to him and blue on the eyes. They are beautiful fish. Congrats !

Thankyou! Since I added the decor they are really starting to explore the tank! They are in a 30g. They haven't messed with the guppies. I hope it stays that way!

Well, one of the biggger ones is being bullied (wouldn't it be the smallest one be the one being bullied?). So, I moved in with my lab fry. Now he's happy. They haven't even messed with him.

Well, I have them in a 30g. I could not advise you on a correct size as I am unsure myself. I would assume 30g is plenty big, especially because I plan on breeding them, and only keeping or 3 of them. TRhe guy I got them from breeds them in 15g tanks.

They stay small and can be kept in a small tank. I wouldn't go less than a 30 gallon myself.
