Aloha guys
I don't know how many experienced breeders we have in residence, but I am discovering something which may complicate my new project... And I'd love to know any tips or insights.

This is my first time breeding Bettas, I have been pretty successful with breeding other fish (Corydoras, Mollies, guppies, Longfin Koi, Goldies, etc) but the Bettas are a new thing for me.

I've done my research and am fairly well prepared and sort of have an idea how the whole process is supposed to unfold... Then I discovered that I may have made one slight complicating factor; the fish are SOLID WHITE.

So while I see an ovipositor and little egg sack on the female I want to spawn, she doesn't seem to be "barring up" like they are supposed to when excited... Do the opaque solid whites get bars? Or do I need to rely on other signals (ovipositor, egg sack, flaring at the male, etc for my signals?)

Its pretty impossible to see the bars on a light coloured female so yes you will need to rely on other things. If they have been together for a week and have both been conditioned then you are pretty safe to expect her to be ready to mate. Would love to see some pictured of mum and dad to be :)

How do I go about posting photos from my iPhone ap?
I got all camera happy and got some decent ones (and many more very bad ones) I'd love to get opinions.

American bred Solid white half moons at just 3.5 months old... I think the group is just beautiful (fins are nice... But sure to get much better! And the 3 girls are showing little pot bellies and ovipositors... So I am thinking they are spawn ready here pretty soon, especially with how interested in the boys they are) and I have 2 adult males (1 black and 1 white) who are absolutely gorgeous, the most beautiful finnage I've ever seen (both are recent Thai imports)

Okay testing the new ap on my mobile device... Hopefully this will work:
