i have a 550 litre tank with 2 pairs of breeding severums, they will do the kissing and tail slapping and getting vicious towards each other but thats all thats happening, i have been looking on net and found that they like to spawn in a lower ph of about 6-6.5 and mine is 7.6 and water temp 29deg.
what i want to know is how can i lower the ph safely?
ive read about using peat moss but has got me very confused  is it just the bags of peat i have to use or is it the moss, where do i get this from and how do i use it?
i have got two external filters running so do i have to add it into these?
please can someone help me with this and send me some links to what stuff i need to get and how much i will need to use ect.
many thanks all.

When we used the peat we got it in pellet like form and it went into one of the compartments in the external filter..

I guess you could also put it into ladies stockings and add to the tank too?

The peat granuals we used were similar to these Here But id imagine your filters manufacturer may have thier pwn brands to suit the filters if you looked at their site.

A couple of small water changes may also help to encourage them...

My breeding pair took ages to get it right they used to do as yours do untill finally they got it together..

Give them time to get it right. I wouldn't mess about with the pH, they aren't that fussy. Keep up a good diet and regular water changes, perhaps raise the temperature slightly. Mine usually breed after large water changes.
