I'm gonna give it another whirl, attempting to spawn 3-Spot Gouramis.
I'm looking for suggestions that may help me be successful. I failed miserably about 18-months back. So I've done a lot of research and have chosen a pair that are now about 9-12 months old. I have been feeding them a little extra protein while still in the community tank and have noticed the chosen female (which is on the larger size for a female) has an extended abdoman. I'm hoping this is eggs and not a dietary concern. The breeder tank is not quite completed it's bio cycle. 10 gal. used 5-gal from the community, and the filter. Also added 2 tetras. Is there anything else I Can do? Set up with lots of hiding places this time. But can't seem to get the temp. to stay below 88F, Anyone think this might be a little warm? If the female is carrying eggs, will she drop them without the Male fertilizing them?
