You would need a seperate tank with marbels at the botttom as they eat there eggs temp between 18-24

Along with other things

Danios are one of the easiest to breed in egg scatterers... The males have lean longer bodies than the more plump females... It is always better to have at least 2 males to every female... have one side (darker) of the tank with plenty plants... Change water at night & leave lights off for the night... They will (deffo) start spawning the next morning... (also a good idea to keep your water level below 6"... for this procedure.... Remove the parents after they have spawned....

ok thanks for your help

butt..... i am a complete beginner got the tank beginning of december and just finished cycling hence i had the danios in to cycle the tank.

i had no plans on breeding them but maybe if they are to do it naturally then what can i do as i wont be able to get any special breeding net or anything till wednesday. however if possible i would like to breed them.

so what can i do with the one tank i have?

thanks

Just females in your photos.... Unless you set up specifically for breeding,.... Do not bother... Breeding nets & breeding traps are made for live bearers... Danios will not do.

ok so that fish is not pregnant, juat a female?

The concept of being pregnant is a different perspective with Live bearers as opposed to egg layers... Yes!! she is full of roe.... (& ready for spawning).... but, it's not like she's gonna deliver fry overnight....

ok she is going to lay eggs sometime soon.

but is there anything i can do, ie put a container in the water, put her in and let her lay her eggs, take her out of the container then try and let the eggs hatch in the container.

Ouch!!... The story is a long one, & it's clear to see that you are indeed a beginner.... I'd suggest that you google something on the breeding habits of egg scatterers to get some perspective & then come back with whatever questions are still unclear.... She does not simply lay her eggs.... It is basically the whole story of "birds & bees" that has to be fully understood here.... Do some Googling, & come back with remaining unclear questions. (genuine)

ok i have read some stuff

i have 1 question.

as i am a beginner and was never planning on breeding them shall i just let nature take its course and the eggs get eaten as i have no acess to another tank for them to breed in?

I've got danios and they indeed started spawning. Now I decided with the danios to let nature take it's course and many mornings I have woken to little flashes of silver as the male and female dash around the tank - almost too fast for the eye to focus.
I've never seen the eggs but the other tank inhabitants seem to find them quite yummy as they eagerly snaffle up whatever the spawning danios left behind.
During the spawning they will be all over the place (definitely not breeding trap fish these). Mine seem to like to spawn into/over the java moss. The female scatters the eggs, they are not laid in clusters, clutches, jelly blobs, or stuck to anything at all.

Unless you intend to breed them, just let nature do what nature does best =)
