Breeding cherry shrimp

Give them 70-80 degree water, lots of plant cover (java moss works great) or other hiding places, good food and they should breed. Probably good to get a few more and start with 6-10.

Ok thanks. I have some rocks that they always hide in
 
And make sure you have at least one male and one female :)
 
The abdomens of females are deeper top to bottom than males. The abdomens of males look almost flat compared to a female.
Females will develop a paler, saddle shaped patch on their backs - This is the ovaries with eggs inside. The female releases a pheromone to alert the males that she is ready to breed, they start whizzing about the tank looking for her, then the next thing you see is that the female is carrying eggs between the swimmerets under her abdomen.
