Anyone know how t makethem survive am i doing everyhing right? ive added the into the jar with som added pats and a algae wafer.

you also need to add an airstone and osme marine salt if you want them to survive for long. i dont know how you would go breeding them either

i personally dont think they are worth breeding as it will be very troublesome. anyways, to breed them you just need to keep them well fed and healthy and they will eventually breed by themselves. im not sure about this, but i think they feed on green water. try to find some sea monkey food or something because sea monkeys are pretty much just brine shrimp

All dead?

I bought some brine shrimp by mistake once (I was in a hurry -- I was going for daphnia), and they survived in an open glass jar for almost a week...

Brine shrimp are filter feeders that'll eat pretty much any organic particles in the water. I've heard of people feeding them green water, brewers yeast, gunk from their filter... even bacterial cultures.

To keep the water oxygenated, you can use a plastic pipette to bubble the water every few days. They don't need much oxygen. Alternatively, a handful of java moss would keep the water oxygenated, and provide a source of infusoria for them to eat.

Finally, expect a population crash if ever they get too crowded (maybe what happened to you). To keep the numbers up, feed them to your fish regularly. :)

Keeping a culture is quite a good way to keep some food handy. I had a daphnia culture going for a while... For brine shrimp, you can just buy a sea monkey kit. :)
