Breeding Bettas

On average, my Bettas produce around 150 to 200 fry every time they breed and there's no problem rearing them up to about 3.5 - 5 months when the males start to sort out their rankings (approximately 90 to a brood) and have to be separated..... where do one find so many containers to place them in.... I use "cutoff" 5l bottles, but feel this is not enough space for a growing boy... esp. as it has no aeration.

What do you guys do to separate so many fish??

I heard someone used jars and plastic popcorn buckets, if you are changing the water daily or every two days and there is a good surface area than aeration shouldn't be a problem with bettas being surface breathers.

Stick a post up in the betta's part of the forum, the folks over there are barmy (not because they like betta's-they're just mad in their own right) but I'm sure you'll get some idea's from them.
