Do you need to have a low pH level to breed Angelfish? My pH is high at 7.5 to 8 and I've read that your better off not trying to change the pH. I did add a piece of Mopani wood which might bring it down a bit, but I don't think it will make much of a difference.

Thanks.

My ph is at 7.2 to 7.4 and my angels bred but the kh is at 3 making it quite soft water. Hows your kh?

angel can be breed succesfully in ph of 7 the higher the most chance that the egg wouldn't be fertilize. And your ph is acceptable to breed angel just make sure you keep an eye on those egg. If you see that the egg turn white after a few days you be sure to have to lower ur ph and give the male a few more shot. If the egg continue to turn white under a low ph then it might be time for u to switch mate for the female. But then again most of the eggs will be eaten if you dont keep an eye on it.
