What do you reckon? I think there could be a call for a breeders section within TFF, would be a great source of info all in one place.

I completely agree. :good: I think that breeding fish is one of the most rewarding aspects of the hobby. I actually just got back from the store with a pair apistos :hyper: .

Would it be setup for different types of breeding? Like a section for breeding cories, or plecos, or cichlids? Not to down my own area of expertise in breeding, but I doubt a section would be waranted for livebearers.....insert male in tank...insert female in tank...pray they dont eat babies lol

That is a gorgeous pair. I am loving the blue.

having different parts will be a bit of nightmare for mods and stuff imo but having just 1 section for breeding projects is a great idea :good:

I think it would be a great idea. In the end I expect there'd be threads for certain types, but I think a section for breeding would be a great idea.

+1 for Al.

A breeding project section would be great, especially with a journal sub section.

There's no real demand or need, just keep each thing in it's relevant section, each section already has it's journals sub section so put any breeding journals etc in there.

Adding more sub forums will just clutter the place and reduce efficiency.

i think it would be great...as some species require different water conditions and hidey holes etc...
you got my vote!

But you're not breeding anything to my knowledge, so you have no interest in it. For people who's passion is breeding it would be deemed necessary.

I have no current interest in marine, but think its a vital part of this forum as it makes for a greater knowledge base and brings more members to this site.

I think its a great idea as there has been a recent influx of people wanting to breed discus, apisto's, plecs, cories etc, so to have a section full of peoples experiencies and projects to act as a kind of database for others can only be a good thing.

In that case the present system is better, just place it in the relevant section where people with knowledge in that field hang out, you're more likely to get a reply of relevance.

I think that section is required because then when a breeder who breeds platys wants to know how to breed Chichlids and plecos they know where to look.
