hi i have recently aquired a bichir eel and he eats live fish for a meal. i was think about getting a 10 gallon tank with just a filter and putting the 2 mollies in the tank. i also wanted to get maybe a 1 pair swordtails and maybe 2 pairs of guppies to put in the tank. i want them to bread so i dont have to buy any more feeder fish for my eel. i know it is mean but i am on a tight budget and in the long run if i could get the 3 or 4 pairs of fish to bread it would be greatly benifical to my high school spending budget. oh yah if anyone who reads this has any help full hints on breading these fish or if you know of any fish that breed constantly that would help. :band:

if you're gonna get a 10 g tank, you should consider a heater too. they need the right temperature to live and breed.

:D Try feeding your bichir on prawns or fish like salmon which is ideal because it smells, then you wouldn't have to worry about a constant supply of feeder fish.
I'm quite sure that bichir won't mind, mine are not that fussy.

Hope you enjoy your bichir they are great fish, by the way what type?.
