Well I bit the bullet and part ex'd the 5 Tetras and 2 Angels today. All were in fine health and are settling in to the LFS tanks nicely.

I picked up 3 Marble Mollys (MFF), 3 Platys (MFF) and 2 baby Bristlenose Catfish.

I shot a quick video as the Platys and Mollys wouldn't swim still:

I managed to get a few half decent pics (or rather my wife did - her camera is way better than mine for aquarium shots):

Looks like i've ended up with 2 male Platys to 1 female

Not what I asked for.

The one male is getting excommunicated at the moment.

I'll be popping into the LFS tomorrow after work to pick up another female for him to pair off with.

those photo's are good :good:
the question you asked, i use the different flashes at a slight angle to the tank with macro mode,,
then cut and crop the fish from the photo, find this better than zooming in on a particular subject :good:

Whenever I use flash, I get an almost milky effect. What am I doing wrong? My wife took the above ones without flash using Macro on her camera. She has a Canon IXUS 55, I have a Samsung Digimax A50.

The pic of Brinn on my sig was taken on the Canon too.

put the room lights off, so rooms dark, then take a photo at a slight angle, get up close but not to close and shoot,
i usually have camera set on 5mega pixels / macro mode and the lightning or the eye flash picture
