Bout To Lose First Fish

i also live in cheshire cheadle, when i first started with my tank i had guppies & neon tetras. non of the guppies survived but the neons are still going. got my first guppies july & they all died think 13 in total. some of them were in a cycling tank but some of them deff were in a cycled tank. makes ya wonder due to the fact we from the same sort of area. btw not got any guppies now

Lost another one last night, noticed on Tuesday it was acting odd, so I used some Melafix in the tank, but when I got home from work yesterday it was gone. This one kept hanging around the top of the tank pretty lifeless, but it also had a bit of red on it's tails edge like it had been bit. I did another water change @ 20% and then added some more Melafix (as per the instructions).
So today the next one is acting odd, I've added more Melafix so this is day 3 with the stuff. This one though doesn't hang around the top of the tank it's just a bit mopey, unlike the two that already died this one is still eating, between him and the other remaining 2 guppies I have, the only other thing I've noticed is his mouth is opening and closing more than the other 2, like he is gasping. Not sure how long he's going to last but as a first venture into fish, not quite going how I expected

Hopefully he'll pull through and it will be the end of it, I'll see what tomorrow brings.
