Bottom Feeders, Who Can Live Together

Right . im looking at bottom feeders ,
love the idea of khuli loaches hoping to put about 8 in my tank,
but what can i put along side them that will not anoy each other
my thinking is the kuhli are mainly shy and evening nocturnal fish
so what can i have (and how many ) as like a day time fish while khuli is sleeping

My kuhlis are neither shy nor nocturnal, i have 9.

I agree with kizno, we need to know what size your tank is and what it's stocking is.

Starting with
6 platies
2 honey gourami

Then

4 or 6 other shoaling
+ some khuli 6 or 8

prepare to swap and trade to get a nice balance of intrest

you could get 5 corys or 8 kullis up to you and you can still have a few shrimp i think it was you who said you wanted them.

just remember 65 litres is a small amount of water, for both species to remain happy they need to be kept in groups so a group of one or the other yes

u could go for one of the dwarf species of cory pygmeous, habrosus or hastatus then you would be able to have a reasonable size group

8 should be enough to keep them selfs happy and keep bottom of the tank in far nick
the platies will not go at them will they
as they been feeding of the bottom any way , or would the khuli prefer there own food

theyll pick at left over flakes, and other scraps

the platies wont pick at them

they will eat scraps of food that sink but its goog to have algea wafers to give them every now and again.

so now definately in tank will are
6 platies
2 honey gourami
will be adding 8 khuli

still struggling with the rest have to much choice id like 2 small shoals more than 1 big

how much fish have i got left to get a good balance?? with the 16 above
