What's your top books you have read?

So many so usually changes. Have just re-read Jim Butchers Dresden series. His codex series was brill too.

Loved David Gemmell as well.

Big into sci-fi. Have read most of the main authors.

The Hobbit & World War Z, Only books I've read in the past 10 years.

The Hound of Rowan
a tad like harry potter, but its a magnificant book, couldn't put it down!

i just read one of the best books i ever read power of the dog I think it was called about the mexican drug trade mafia etc
also just read the Road a well acclaimed book by the author of No country for old men, good but a bit random

The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, Wind in the Willows, Jurassic Park

Very much into Jasper Fforde's Thursday Next series at the moment. Somewhat off-the-wall, but incredibly well thought-out, dealing with issues like time travel and also being able to jump into the prose of books themselves, and the attendant paradoxes that are encountered. If you like Terry Pratchett, I think you would also like this series.

'HOODS' about gangs in Nottingham. Very interesting indeed. Also Gordon Ramsay's auto biographies. Other than that, i just normally stick to Argos and PFK.

The Hobbit, saved me from boring bus journeys and slow days working at Wicksteed Park, Easy read and epic.

Don't read many books now though should do

Im such a book worm!

Depends on what you like, i love crime/mystery/thriller books... kind of 'who done it'. Some of my favourite authors hat iknow i can pick up any of their books and love it are:

Tess Gerritsen
Kathy Reichs
Patricia Cornwell (currently listening to epic 15 hour audiobook on journeys to and from work)
Karin Slaughter
Kate Rose (my favourite but not had another book out recently)

I also love the big names like the Lord of The Rings, Harry Potter (read when im recovering from a migrane when im too useless todo anything and need something easy) and Phillip Pullmans 'His Dark Materials' trilogy is amazing!! (Northern Lights, The Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglass) just dont be put off by shoddy film versions!

I also randomly enjoyed Jane Eyre and Lord of the Flies when i was at school and have read them several times...

I have read three libraries out of interesting books and use charity shops a lot, i buy them forl ike 20p, read them and take them all back as i dont have room to keep more books LOL.

I started to read lord of the rings, stopped half way through the two towers. It's quite a difficult read. The hobbit was enjoyable.

Loved the Harry Potter series.

Their are to many great books out there!! I enjoy nonfiction, but some fiction books that I enjoyed recently are, Harper Lee's To Kill a Mocking Bird, and the play in novel form, Arthur Miller's the Crucible. Both novels teach very valuable life lessons.

Have you read Graham Hurley? I'm not normally into crime fiction, but since the Joe Faraday series is set in the fragrant city of Portsmouth, I know exactly all the locations that are mentioned. Nothwithstanding that, the storylines are excellent, would certainly recommend. Graham's a nice bloke, too, he donated a signed book and a signed CD-book to the boys football team I coach for fundraising.

Have a squizz.

Angels and Demons, The Da Vinci Code and all of the other Dan Brown books I would say are a must read. I don't read very much but those books I just didn't want to put down. A childhood favorite was, My Side of the Mountain.

I used to go there as a kid.

I've read nothing since September only textbooks for my counselling course.
I love reading, have done since I was young. Have a read of some of Irvin D Yallom's books, there are too many to mention but if your into psychology or anything that relates to it then your in for a treat. They are not textbooks really, more like a story the way he writes them.
Loved all of the George Best books and sleepers was a great book (made into a film) one of our boys loves reading, the other three kids don't, he's currently reading 'Goodnight Mr Tom' in his class and I loved that book at school too. We worked with that in English.

Favourite books of all time are probably Wuthering Heights, Frankenstein & Rebecca but for consistent excellency it has to be Terry Pratchett. David Eddings and Raymond Feist good for the fantasy fans too. Recently read Blood Sweat & Tea (collection of short blogs by a paramedic) Great insights into the medical frontline
