Bollivian Ram Food

can anyone tell me what i should be feeding my rams with, what would be best for then?

Mine love JBL Novo Tabs and frozen bloodworm more than anything else. They definitely seem to prefer sinking food over flake, etc.

i have noticed that too, when i feed my fish i put a bit of flake in and some corry pellets, and they love the pellets, soon as they see them they rush over to them and eat them

Rams need 'meaty' foods as well as flake foods. Bloodworm, mosquitto larvae, glass worms, daphnia, shrimp brine etc can all be bought frozen. They will also enjoy algae wafers.

because they love the corry pelets, but the pelets are a little to big for their mouths.

freezedried bloodworm just floats, not really worth it.

You're after a good quality sinking pellet or tablet - there are loads. Don't worry about size, they nibble at it.

mine dont nibble though lol, they pick the whole thing up, and it looks like if its jammed in thier mouth, then they jus keep like sucking out it till they get it in lol

That's what mine do! No harm done, they just suck bits off. Stops them gulping it in one.

Maybe as a treat food. Like I said, you're after an all round food.

Try the jbl novo tabs. Seem expensive, but I bought a tiny pot and its lasting forever. One feeds my whole tank so they go a long way. You can even stick them on the inside of the tank for smaller fish to graze on.

i had a look at them jbl novo and all i could find was ones that were like £45 lol,

Maidenhead aquatics sell them if you have one near you. I think my tiny pot was about a fiver.

I don't feed every them every day.

But I break one into four - and that goes between two rams, 9 corys, and any bits the guppies, tetras, rasboras, otos and shrimp get!

That's how far they go!
