Bolivian Blue Ram Bully

hi i i have a 200litre amazon planted set up i purchase 2 bolivian blue rams from lfs m +f already paired off but very young ..had them few weeks then he started bullying her terrible .told its what they do when wanting to breed so left it at that,he started bulling the rummy nose tetras and the bristlenose plec also ..then few days later nice as pie swimming with her folloowing him like a lost puppy and shoaling with the rummys ...few days later back again hating everyone .. female started to hide and go off her food ..woke up one day she had died..
now hes in the tank still him 14 rummies ,bristlenose plec ,corys and he basically bullys the lot hes hurt a rummy at its side hes nipped 2 corys ...then hes back to mr nice guy days later ,i watched him today he chases everthing from everywhere .. and is really nasty ..
what should i do hes so handsome yet a menace at times ?

you could try sectioning him off in a floater in the same tank each time you see it happen. sounds mad but its worked

Move stuff in the tank around. Not much you can do really. Some fish are just jerks. I would not add any other rams to the tank. You could take him back or just be happy with what you have. He might get over it and settle down.

thanks all im really in 2 minds what to do.............cant take him back as had him while now ...so would need to rehome him ..

today he's as nice as pie swimming with the rummys like best budds but the day before he hurt a rummy in its side it has a little wound ive treated it it seems ok at moment..so keeping an eye on it..

lfs said its cause hes lonely even though i explained about how he badgered the female to death . they said i should buy 2 females and that they had the rams in (but i looked at them and they were bigger than him and no sign of blue on them very similar but yellow) they tried to say same fish just different colour is that true

i declined their offer as unsure it would help as males can be nasty when mating and dont want him anymore crazy .... do you think i was right ?

maybe will give moving tank around a go but ive got it looking good its planted reall well ...will see what i can do ...thanks kaz x

yes there are tons of plants lots of different big swords, camboa ? java moss, java ferns, plenty of bogwood,big urn thingy,big root dec ,tree branch cave ..he seems to have claimed all along the back no fish is allowed in his caves,or near his plants ...

oh so even more confused is mine a bolivian blue ram ? hes has blue sparkles ... the ones on sale had no blue so are there bolivian blues as well as bolivians omg sooo confused
