Yea should be ok as long its 100% silicone and fish safe! :D of course rinse it before putting it in the tank.
Another tip is boil the woods in boiling water for 20 minutes to remove tannins!

not really the best tip this. cooking the wood only helps to make it break down. it also encourages the wood to give up tannins for longer.
a good wash in hot water is best. true your water will/may go slightly brown. on the bright side it good for your fish! tannins will go slowly with your water changes. or you can add a small filter with some carbon in.

I have always boiled my bogwood with no ill effects.

Another method is to chuck it in a garden water butt for a monthe or so before adding to the tank. This will help leach the tannins & waterlog the wood so it sinks (new bogwood nearly always floats).

many people do. lots of people put salt in fresh water tanks, as a tonic. its not needed and does not work as a long term tonic, but people still do it. but i am talking long term here. only one bit of bog wood, i have, is less than 5 years old. I would ask how old yours are/is? but there is no deniying the fact hat boiling/cooking, breaks down the wood (that's why we cook food, it breaks down the bonds and makes it easyer to digest) same goes for wood, it breaks down the bonds making it rot quicker.
