My other 6 band "blue", note the difference in color to the one behind him...

Love these guys.
They live with a Sailfin Pleco and a Clown knife fish.
Am hoping to introduce a Black Arowana to the mix once these guys grow a little.

very very nice. Looks like they're hamming it up for the camera. lol

Well the thing is, photography is a big hobby of mine, and (without blowing my own trumpet)I can usually take great pics of my snakeheads.
But these guys are a nightmare!

They prefer a darker tank for starters, then they like to hang out near the top of the tank, so lighting goes out the window. Also as they are young, they are still a little scared of the big black tube thing (my lens) getting near the glass!

But thanks for your comment!

GREAT pics

I;ve never seen those channa before good looking fish

Thanks Simonas.
They are pretty much just Channa Marulioides, but a "blue" regional variant.
They look much better when they get bigger and their flowers develop.

These are stunning, making me miss mine, hehe, cannot wait to see these beef up

wish i had kept my obscura now -_- he was turning into such a handsome boy B-) :-(

Hows the move going Nelly?
You sold all your fish?

South America right? You will be able to get some awesome fish out there bro!

Very impressive pics, and beautiful fish - I'm gonna have to read up on those, never seen anything quite like them

I know what you mean about nightmares in getting a good pic...you get all lined up, focus in just nice and bam they move right before you open the shutter...I must have spent an hour this morning to get 2 alright shots. I just bought a100mm macro and am getting used to the manual focus :)

Just a little update on my Maruliodes.

The Standard Maru has preyy much paired up with one of the "Blue" specs. They are starting to pick on the left over Blue, so I am going to seperate them.
The Standard is also starting to show flowering too. They have just been taken out of their growout tank and are now in a 7ft tank with a Pleco. (Possibly soon to be joined by my growing Black Arowana.)

Here are a few new pics: (the largest is the non-"blue" at around 8-9")
