Blue Rusty Cichlid?

The one acei showing is the far right... the bottom left are rustys..... the camera makes them look blue/yellow but they are brown... besides the color HOW do they not look like rustys??? if you watch the video you can see their true color... i received the center fish with the rustys and didnt realise.... everything about it has the characteristics of a rusty besides the color... even "groups" with them.

yes... but an ADULT.. jouveniles are brown with a hue of purple.. as they age the males start looking like that while females stay a drabby brown with little purple... it also depends how they get fed, water quality, etc... watch the video and you will see that they are brown, the flash of the cam brought out the purple......

I don't think you can use random images on the internet as a sound basis for species identification.

So youre saying rusty ciclids arent a drabby brown with a light violet hue when young??

where do you think he got that picture from?? FIRST picture when you google the name

So I got some clearer pics of the fish in question.....

So the blue fish in the upper middle is the one that hitched a ride with my rustys like the one right below it.....

Heres a closeup of it, but the flash makes it look MUCH lighter than it actually is

Anybody have a clue???


EDIT:: ... its the fish in the top middle of my sig. pic. sorrounded by some acei's , labs and rustys.....
