I doubt, it's swim bladder, I think he's going to pass away, sorry.
Rams display these symptoms just before dying.
Meaty foods I would use are tuna, tender beef, chopped chicken.
ahh i see what you mean.
I hope he pulls through. Do you have any ideas on what might be the problem based on
the symptoms?
i noticed some brown color to him, which i think indicates nitrite or nitrate at toxic lvls.
At this point I have moved him from the main 75g tank to a small 5 gallon tank that serves
as the hospital tank anyway. I seem to have bad luck when moving fish from main tank to small
tank. They always die which was my reason for leaving him in there.
The ph is lower in that tank so hopefully that will help him. Upon closer inspection of the
gill area, i noticed 3 -4 little white dots. That would indicate ich maybe. And he is stressed so i guess
it makes sense. But would that keep him from swimming about. The other fish i have had that had ich, still swam around as normal.
Do you think I should treat him for ich also or should I just let it run its course. As he is all alone
now I can turn the heat up. Like i mentioned before I was adding Melaflex and Primaflex to the main tank for a few days now, should I keep that up in the little tank and treat for Ich. or would that be an overdose of chemicals and make the situation worse. I am not sure why ph lvl is so high. I have a med planted tank with forced co2 injection. I have no wood or peat in the setup so there is nothing bringing it down. maybe the
wood i added will bring it down a little. I wonder how long that will take. I have a heavy a$$ rock tied to it and it still wants to float. Crazy!!
thoughts???
