Blue Ram/gold Ram

I was wondering if it would be possible to keep a pair of Blue Rams and a pair of Gold Rams in a 39-40 gallon tank? I was also wondering if they would get along with a pair of Empire Gudgeons? I know everyone suggest tetras and such to go with Rams but are there any other fish that they get along with? Would a couple of gobies be a possibility? I don't know. I'm in the process of planning my next tank, and I know for a fact I definitely want rams. Any help would be appreciated.

you could easily get the 2 pairs of rams in a 40 gall, 30 you might be pushing it once they grow up.

It's up to you, personally, I'd keep a pair a tank. I've had too many experiences with my rams killing each other. I just recently lost 2 pairs. I had 4 pairs in total. 2 pairs in each tank. I have 55 gallons. now I have 2 pairs left. a pair in each tank.
