I am in love with blue dolphins and noticed some for sale locally, I have a 180 litre tank and just wanted to make sure that the tank was a big enough size for a pair (not a proven pair) on there own or perhaps with a plec. Also if it is big enough any ideas for cheap decoration? ????

No that is too small for them long term, you will need more like a 280-450liter setup to house them as adults. They would also do better in a trio or quad.

As mentioned these are not monogomous fish like so many new worlds are, and it's best to have 3 females with him. Eventually they would outgrow the tank, but growth is slow after the first little bit so you can do a quad in that tank for quite a while. If you're thinking long term it might be worth looking into something smaller.
