Hi all!

Wondering if I could get a blue crayfish for my tank?
230 litre tank - I currently have 1 dwarf gourami (male), 6 neon tetras, 8 platy fry, 4 danios and 5 amano shrimp.

I've read they eat anything they catch - mainly slow moving fish. My shrimp are pretty quick and same with my fish but I'm not sure whether to risk it.

I have plenty of hiding places.

Thanks :)

Freshwater crayfish should not be kept with normal aquarium fish because they eat the fish at night when the fish are asleep. They also eat shrimp.

If you want a blue crayfish, set up a separate tank for it. :)

Agree. If you want your own crayfish, get a 20 gallon.

Thanks for the help people :) It is tempting! They are beautiful

set up a tank, buy a pr and breed them. Any you don't sell can be cooked :)
