Blue Acaras?

hi, my acaras have been digging and fixing at a site for 2 weeks now but havent laid any eggs yet :crazy:

one digs and one chases other fish away fromn the site any ideas?

The surest way to tell if they mean business is to check wether their Ovipositors have developed....
 
Do you have other fish in the tank? They might be feeling shy or a bit stressed with the other fish around so it is going to take them longer to spawn. My 2 Acaras have a 55 gal tank all for them well there is a lazy pleco too. They spawned a week after adding them to the tank. I had them in a small 10 Gal just to quarantine they were there for 2 weeks and would play around with the idea of spawning but They were not happy with the set up.

When you see the females Breeding tube get bigger then normal that means it is time. What's the Temp of the tank 78 F is what they like. Try doing a water change My spawned right after a water change.

they have breeding tubes down :good:
 
Why did you bump this if the females breeding tube is down they will spawn or should have by now.
