Blue Acara And Firemouths.

Hi i am new here,

and would like to ask a few questions,

are Blue acaras and firemouths peacefull cichlids?

can they go with, rams, angels?

the tank is, * 48x13x20 * 55 gallon

What is NW?

NW = New World. A term used to describe cichlids from central and south america, amongst others.

i wouldn't put either with ram's, they're a bit too boisterous and agressive, possibly with angels but it'd be risky

i agree with ms wiggle-small fights would be certain causing stress

also your tank is 55 gallons and putting all these fish together- probably overstocked. if you had a large tank 6-8 foot you mabie could mix them.

well it's up to you who's advise you believe, i'd wait until a few more people post they're opinions and see if they agree with me or him.

not disputing he may be right, but my experience would suggest it's a bad idea

Just a quick word of caution, I put a small Blue Acara into my tank on Friday without doing any research and guess what? Had 5 cardinals one minute and none the next. The Rams are still alive and kicking but will have to keep an eye on them. The Acara looked very intersted in those as well.
