Blood Worm Breeding

hi im new to this fish stuff so go easy please :blush:

I bought some live blood worm the other day for my fish and they loved it. If i bought some more and put them in a cold water set-up would they "make babys" or would they just die? :crazy:

Hi, i've read somewere that the bloodworm you buy from fish stores could actually be the larvae of a midgie!
In which case after breeding for a while, they may simply fly from their container!
Further clarification off a more experienced member would be nice though!
