So, I'm curious. I know the natural color of a blood parrot is usually the off white / reddish mix... But that the orange colored blood parrot is natural (well not natural, but breeded that way and not dyed).

I was curious about the dark red parrots though (I think called "purple parrots")... I have heard they are natural, but wasn't 100% positive. I have a bright orange blood parrot that I picked up for $5 (I love him) and I want to get a tank mate for him. I really like the dark red ones, but I don't want to pick up a dyed fish.

That's what I'm afraid of. It's the only color they had (other then an off white / gray natural color)... So I assumed that they were natural. Plus the store doesn't really carry many (if any) dyed fish that I could find.
