hi,

i realise this question could have a million answers BUT

what colour do blonde fry tend to go? apart from the fact they are blond at birth rather than dark do they colour up like the dark guppies do?

thanks

Nope Blond fry stay blond. Even some types of blonds dont develop black.

I had one dark female delivering about 3 or 4 Blondies with each batch of fry, so I seperated the blondies every time and now have a tank full of blondies who seldom throws back any dark fry, and if they do, I remove those before they are adults.

As for the colour.... on the left are a few males and at the right side of this picture are 2 females. (notice also the small fry swimming around with the parents)

Blond is a recessive gene. So if you breed 2 blonds you will only get blond fry (with the odd exception)

Blond x gray will result in all grey, but the fry will carry both genes for gray and blond. So the next generation will then will bemixed.
