Hi all. Just noticed one of my 6 Bleeding Heart Tetras has got a white lump/discolouration below it's dorsal fin. It's not a lump on the outside of the scales, but more inside the body. It seems to be swimming normally and is shoaling with the others. The symptoms don't match any of the common ailments. Any ideas folks?

Found him/her this morning still alive but floating on side struggling to survive. Euthanased with clove oil - it really does seem quite humane - I hope so! No-one responded so I suppose it was not easily recognisable as a treatable ailment??

I've just picked up the message about all the things to report in the 'emergencies' section when we've got a problem. This explains why there are so many 'viewers' but not nearly as many 'responses'. I think that post should somehow remain at the top of the section so that it is read by anyone sending in an emergency. Otherwise folk will continue to send messages without giving all the necessary details.
