Blaze Going Mad

Well he isn't normally bothered about flaring much when i put a mirror near his tank but today he went mad, but it gave me a chance to get some good shots of him and a video, so here they are:

sorry about the music i kinda forgot that video records sound too and i wasn't expecting him to go mad around the tank as you can till oh and please try ignore the bubbles on the tank i had only just cleaned him out

you'd never think i found him sitting in the corner of a tank full of girls after that would you! glad he has forgoten it though

Oooh, he's so pretty! Everyone's bettas seem so big compared to my Darby. I tried to load your video but for some reason the link just brought me to the main photobucket website.

how big is darby? blaze looked so small at the LFS then i got him home and his tank was near the females and he is 3 times there size

Maybe it's just me then. I have pics of Darby here. As far as his length goes... I'd say he's a little over an inch long from nose to caudal pentacle.

Ooh wow! The video works now. When I first watched him flare it almost scared me lol! I'd forgotten that's what you were recording. Boy he's imposing when he flares!

aw hes cute, he doesn't look that small until i saw the one with the cat in blaze is about 2.5 inches i think

Thank you! And well, my cat IS a bit on the er... pudgy side. To put it nicely. Maybe Darby is just still a youngster.

blaze just started flaring at his own tail he was hiding in a plant and seen the shadow of his tail and flared at it

After seeing your post, I thought I'd give Darby a bit of exercise myself using the mirror trick, and now whenever he sees my hand, he starts flaring LOL! He was looking a bit bored before, but now he's certainly entertained!

blaze goes round his tank 10 minutes after flaring if i make the slightest movement he'll flare, its so cute to watch

They just love being in clean water dont they? I do mine as much as I can but got too many really....lovely video
