Black Moor Goldfish Help Needed :_

The spot on his back how big is it.
Does it look fluffy in appearance.
Are redness to the spot on his back.
Has he been digging in the gravel.
Is he rubbing himself on things in the tank.
Any excess mucas on the body or gills.

You need to get him out of his bag into his bowl there will be lack of 02 in the bag.
Just match temp of bag water to bowl water.

he's in the tank now. he is digging at the gravel, he's picking it up with his mouth and then dropping it. we gave him some frozen shrimp bc it has vitamins in it. (that will be his dinner tonight. my plan was to give him shrimp once a week and then a pinch of the flakes 2x daily.) the spot on his back is about the size of half piece of uncooked rice. there is no redness. he is not rubbing himself on things in the tank.

thank you so much for your responses. i really appreciate it. :)

UPDATE COMMENT:
i'm looking at the site you sent, thanks.

he was swimming up and down in the tank. it actually looked like he was trying to bite his reflection. he was swimming really fast just up and down. bu has since stopped doing that and is just swimming normally. maybe he was chasing the shrimp. now he's back to mouthing the gravel.

Ok.
Don't feed him much it will polutes his water more with being in such a small space.
I would get the tank fast as bowls are killers, as goldifsh are massive waste producers.
Keep an eye on signs of him rubbing himself on things.
He sounds stressed to me.
Add some household salt to his bowl.
Get a jug of his bowl water and mix a teaspoonful of salt in his water, stir it so the salt disolves and then add it to his bowl.

i checked for mucas on his gills and didn't see any. (i don't think.)

is it better to feed him 1x daily? i thought 2x daily would be better so he wouldn't get too hungry between feedings.

UPDATE COMMENT
okay i will go get the salt now bc he is swimming erratically again.

Ok swimming erratic can be alot of things.
Do you have a filter or airstone in his bowl.
Swimming erratic can be bad water quality, toxins, overdose of meds, bacterial, parasites, stray voltage.
Salt helps with stress.

Add the salt then leave him in a dim lighted area and let him calm down he sounds stressed.

This is a rough guide to setting up a tank.

Juhttp://www.petlibrary.com/goldfish/setup.htmst put in the search engine setting up a goldfish tank there plenty of sites for info.

i added the salt. i got a quick dip stick. nitrate show as safe, so does chlorine. the alkalinity is ideal. the pH is 7.8 so i guess its too alkaline?

Most important tests are ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.
Them test strip cards are a waste of money as there not that accurate,
Liquid test kits are the best.

okay done, he's got dim lighting. i'll check back in a bit. we have to run to the store before it closes. thank you!!!

when i get the bigger tank, i think i'll get one of those auto pH and nitrate monitors.

When a fish is stressed he will look paler in colour.
Don't want a stressed fish as it weakens the immune sytem causing desease and illness.
