Black Moor Attacked, Help!

I made the (probably stupid) decision to do a 100% WC, rinse out tank and add the interpet med - I don't think the Pimafix was doing much good anyway because the fungus seems to have spread even from this afternoon. If anything, at least maybe the med will mellow him out a bit seeing as it seems to knock fish out a lil bit.

I feel so sad for him, he really looks so unhappy. Just want to make him better.

Make sure you match temp don't want to stress him even more.
Goldfish can be tough so don't lose faith just yet.
Can he see his mates as they sometimes cheers them up, that there not all alone.

I would just add half a tablespoon of salt to help with the stress.
I wouldn't change anymore meds for now as that can be bad, throwing different types of meds at him, it will weaken his immune system due to the stress.

Yup matched temps, but he's still floating in his bag atm, just to make sure he's adjusted ok. Seeing as he's in a bag I can take him over to his tankmates and let him float for a bit with them.

I don't want to go to bed in case something bad happens, bless him.

Ok.
I would let him settle down for the night now.
There nothing more you can do for him tonight.
Lets us all know how he is tomorrow.
Keeping fingers crossed for him.

Well he's not looking good at all. this morning he seemed ok - swimming and moving around a bit better. He's now just sitting at the bottom of the tank. The guy in MA told me not to do anymore WC's, even though I said it was an uncycled filter in with him and that there were ammonia and nitrite readings. According to him, the fluffy fungus i'm seeing could be the new fins "healing"???????? How can that be right??? He also told me I should have carried on with the Melafix, but in some ways i'm glad i didn't, because Boris really didn't take the Melafix very well. So I'm feeling lost and confused now. Have I really done too many WC's?

I've bought some extra filter sponge pieces, and have put one into the main goldie tank filter, so i'm prepared and can transfer it over the next time a fish is ill.

To be honest I don't like the info he telling you.
You should do water changes if there an ammonia or nitrite reading.
Stress won't heal a fish as it weakens there immune system.
Also fungas can grow on dead tissue.

Boris died on Friday :-( i'm so sad about it. By friday monring the fungus had spread a bit further down his tail. I just feel so awful for him for having to go through all those days of pain and stress.

He was such a special guy :-(

Bless Him. R.I.P.
How are the other fish.

The others are all fine - the ranchu was showing signs of stress after the incident, but he looks a lot happier now and is eating really well. I'm dosing with Melafix because his tail was a bit ragged and it looks like it's improving.

Thanks for all your help Wilder
