black hair growing on plant leafs

8) Hi guys,

I just wanted to know what is causing my plant leafs, around mid to top section to grow some very ugly black hairs on them?

Also how can I get rid of them ?

The tank is been running for a long time, but the algae (black hair) just started to grow alot lately. I haven't changed anything in the tank. Stock Juwel 180 planted.

Ew. That sounds like Red Algae. Bad stuff. Here's an article on how to deal with it:

Thanks for that link!, I had a good look and it seems either some one is eating the algae or it's dying because I cant see any more of it. I had that algae problem for quite a while but it started to disapear lately.
