Well it seems I've been bitten by the betta bug. I had bettas in the past and it just so happened that today while at the lfs, they had 2 white/opaque/platinum..(idk what to call it) plakat bettas in; along with veils.
Had to have him; especially since the guy at the lfs referred to him as "her."

Oh no Veil! Same thing happened to me once and I ended up ordering some from Thailand and eventually had 6 bettas at one time. Be careful with the bug.

BTW, if you ever want to breed.... I have a pretty copper HMPK girl that I wanted to breed but never got around to....

pretty pretty please, share which store you got these at? i'm in Miami and have been trying to locate a good store for bettas. so far found a PetCo that's promising but they hadn't received a shipment in nearly 2 weeks when i went in...i'm going back!

I wish Petsmart here got in more variety in tail types. I would love to have a plakat male! Or even just a SD heh

Thanks a lot. I had too look twice when I saw him to make sure. But definitely a boy. It would suck if I had a sorority then chucked him in there.

When this guy grows a little more and at least starts flaring, I'll let you know.

Well I got these from a store called "The Fish Store." They're not all that bright (obviously) but every so often get something good in. I don't know if they do shipping or not since I've never needed to know, but the stores up in Central Florida.

I agree. I really really reeeeeaaaaaally want a Plakat male ! I'm afraid I'm going to have to go to aquabid and drop a ton of $$$ on one. I want a Copper or a Gold.
