If i let my betta bite my finger, will it screw up its teeth? I have heard that it is bad for their teeth because our skin is too tough, but what else can i let it bite on? qtips are like shredded in like 2 bites

think all fish have teeth, you just can't see them on all fish, my guy bit my once and wouldn't let go so i am sure they have teeth

bettas have teeth. And while i don't have an answer for you dorhedeos, i do have a question... why is it important for him to bite things at all?

Well, its not really important, i guess its just for entertainment for me and exercise for him. Im not sure what the "teeth" on their lip is called, but i call it a beak. I believe their teeth are in their throat.

bettas dont have teeth, they use there gill plates to grind food.

Im pretty sure they have teeth. Ive seen a betta put minor holes in a bag as I took it home. Also, how else would they grip onto food or the fins of other bettas when they nip eachother or fight?

I think they have teeth; I *THINK* I've seen one of my Betta's before. LOL.

Betta's certainly do have teeth the jaws of an adult Betta are as impressive or evens more impression then the jaw of a giant White Shark! The lower jaw of a Betta has sharp shredding teeth, which can tear of body of brine shrimps, worms, mosquito larvae and other such water organisms. A study reveals that on proportionate basis to the body size, Betta jaws are bigger and stronger then those of a White Shark.

Behind the sharp teeth, lies a small place to keep the fries. Male Bettas are hold the tiny fries in this area and take them to the bubble nest and safely release them. No fry is hurt by the teeth situated just millimeters ahead of them.

So there you go Betta are like little mini sharks

whatever they have, it has the capability to rip and adult ghost shrimp in half within a few shakes.
