Okay, I went to my LFS and saw blue crayfish, and thought they'd be really interesting. Came home, googled them and found they are from North Queensland. I thought, hmmm... might get one when I get a bigger tank. Then I looked at the Australian rainbows, and thoiught, ahah! They'd be too quick for the crayfish to catch. Oh look... Australian Rainbowfish are from Australia too.
(Don't ask how I didn't notice this previously). THEN I thought... hey, wouldn't be cool to have an Australian themed tank! (Australian biotope.)
So, for a tank to be a true biotope do you have to have native plants as well as fish?
Thanks!
