Hi i have a hagen tropiquarium 88 with a built in boilife filter. I think its very big and unappealing and takes up alot of room but think it performs well. What are your oppinions on it? I ask because I hope to be getting an external soon. thanks

I was in the exact same situation yesterday :) I have a Tropiquarium 68 and the biolife filter used up about 1/8th of the tank. It was loud, caused a incredibly strong current and was unsightly. I thought it did perform well however it didn't make the water look very clear as it had a tiny amount of fine fibre and blew a lot of little bubbles into the water. I changed that yesterday with a Hydor Prime 10, and it's pretty much silent when it's in the stand cupboard :)
