Just read about this, I know pritty much all instant bacteria products are deemed as rubbish but is this one different?

Bio-Spira

well yes and no.
that is good bacteria. the thing is that it has to be frozen until use.

what happends is in shipping eather to the store or to you, it defrosts and then becomes no good. even if its frozen in the lfs, most times it was thawed on the way there.

but theyll probly but dry ice in there i that case duh dont take that personal

grimmy, grimmy, grimmy, its very illegal to transprot dry ice over state lines. how would they ship it then? with salt? lol.
again, dont post if your not sure about what your saying...

It has to be refrigerated, not frozen, and not all places will keep and ship it in refigerated lorries, so some does spoil.

The product is good, and the only one I know of on the market that contains Nitrospira instead of Nitrobacter and thus has the correct nitrite oxidising bacteria as found in mature fish tanks.

it legal where i live

dry ice is considerd a hazardous chemical, you cannot buy it. you cannot ship it eather.

ok now its my turn to prove your wrong.

did you read-up on fishless cycling, you said yes. then you should have known to do that instead of putting all your fish in a new tank with a new filter.
do you give false info, you said no. you told me that angelfish are brackash, you said that salt will help all fish, you said that if you add salt that your fish will "fell better".

if you test your water then what are your results?
ammonia?
nitrIte?
nitrAte?
ph?

The price doesnt justify the fact that it doesnt always work and you may get a bad shipment. At least they dont lie like other brands do.....
