Bio Balls

afternoon peeps.
just got a bargin 700 bio balls for a tenner good times.
thing is they have been used not sure if fresh water or marine set up should i clean then or not

Clean them imo. You don't know what they have been used for and whether the fish in the tanks had disease or not.

I would put them into a bucket and pour boiling water over them. That should be enough to clean them and sterilise any nasties on them.

cheers. will that also get rid of any salt if they were in a marine setup as person on ebay does not no.

If you feel the need to then rinse under clean running water for a few minutes before hand then pour the boiling water over them. I would have thought it would clean them up pretty well.
