when all our water supply has run out we all know who to look at then lol. setting up marine tanks with anenomies takes months and months of patience. i'd be know good at that. plus the tank has to be really mature and that. i don't think i'm cut out to do that, i'll stick to waiting a month for my fishless cycles to end lol. is your missus is going along with this and does she mind you spending loads of time on all your tanks?

:good:

that makes me feel good miss wiggle. big mamma always confuses me as she tends to use long winded abbreviations!!!!! LOL

JJ.my missus loves me spending time on my fish, you obviously aint that old or you would know that woman do there best to get rid of us, and as i said earlier, she is another part of my African collection *only get her out when she needs feeding*.

thats a fair bit on the steep side, mine are clearsil, 18x12x12, about £18 to £20 tops, I

tanks, i'm going to annoy you even more now, Ive just got an eheim proffessional 2 and a 250 gallon protein skimmer + an expensive marine tube with built in reflector, all for £35, the filter is the larger one of the 2 and retails for around £175, the skimmer is worth well over the £100 mark.

I dont know if I'm annoyed or impressed. You got all that gear nealry for the same price as I was going to pay for a clearsil, 18x12x12. You had mentioned before that you had plans for setting up a marine, looks like they are well under way.

Have you started a build post yet? I had a look in the marine section but I couldnt see any belonging to you. And If you havent, why havent you? I want to see an in-depth report on this project, step by step. This way it might help me stave off the urge to buy another larger tank, as I will just think of your new marine tank as "our" new marine tank. I dont know a thing about marine tanks or fish but I am willing to give good and bad advice as long as you keep posting.

tanks

Iv'e not seen this!!! went on the marine and was just pointed out to already written posts, not as good as our cichlid section. I have actualy done a build on another website, but I prefer to convert with you guys on here, you are a much more friendlier lot here, and we can genuinly talk fish, on the other site they all talk crap and cause arguments with themselves, and there so oppinionated.

the marine tank is still in the garden, it arrived on friday. I went for a new tank as I felt with the light being so intence, that you would see any scratches or marks on an old tank. were going out in a bit to see if we can pick up a cheap double wardrobe from the sally army, hoping to turn it into a stand for the marine tank??????? it will be easier and cheaper, and some of this older furniture can look nice once its been stripped down. Like you I know nothing about marine, but as I have gone this far, theres no point in turning back, but it scares the hell out of me when I read how easy it is for one thing to die, and pollute the entire tank. will one way or another show how it develops, but at the moment its nothing more than decisions, decisions, decisions, live rock, normal tufa rock, open plan stand or fancy wardrobe, nothing can be done till I make that stand. :good:

good luck with the wardrobe hunt. It sounds like a good way to save a couple of squid, they you can then spend on live rock.

TFF=too f***ing funny :hyper: not tropical fish forum lmaooooooo

I will start a thread on setting up my marine, but cause of the cost, I fear we will all be old and retired by the time I get it to anything even similar to that one in the link, although mammafish arent you already there,*old and retired wise :p * arent I glad that I live so far away.

In the words of one of the fantastic four, Flame on!!!!

Have you any other ideas for a stand or are you going to keep up the search for the wardrobe?

I have a week or so before I can afford either, that was a quick reply from you!!!!
I may open up as southports aquatic centre as you stated on the favourite fish post. cant you tell its raining, were all on here. LOL

tanks, I think you should have that music of yours incorporated into this forum, makes great listening and sounds better than the sound of the running water in my tank. theres only one place in my house or garden where you cant hear running water, thats in the toilet and only untill you flush. LOL

Its not raining on the far side of the irish sea, its clear skys at the moment and they are going in your direction. I'm lucky enough to have a job/research postion where I can just chill online all day and do minimal amounts of work, thats why I can reply so quickly.

What music are you referring too?

the music you have playing on your video clip, asked you how you did it????

I do also take a keen interest in what other members are doing you know, I would LOVE to see a photo of mammafish???? and get it out of my head that she is an old lady.
