Big Questions On The Chinese Sucker

im curious as i did try to return it but this damn thing is soo hard to catch and i gave up but the biggest question is will he bother my neon tetras as i noticed taht one of them fins are choppy as eating or torn so im hoping that its not the damn thing i dont wanna kill the poor thing as i did treat the neons with white spots meds and works great now its gone but fins looks ratty at least 2 of them does .. any ideas

yes he could well do, how big is he?

CAE's can get up to 12" and as they get bigger they get more aggressive. Chances are if you don't catch him he'll pretty soon start munching his way through your neons.

belieave it or not hes a tiny thing say wth fins and all hes only 2 inches but i watched him and he looks funny sometimes eyes move and standing on front fins as if he was walking on his fins ... was told again from lft (spelling) only goes 6"if that idiots anyways still cant catch the damn thing so what fish would be the best with him as its my daughters tank and she wants to keep fish in there the neons been hiding in the bunch of plants in the corner so im assuming they are gettig away from the sucker i wish i had known it and this site b4 i got these fishes and almsot wished that it was the chinese that died not the pleaco

try again to catch him.

take all the plants, ornaments etc out of the tank, then drain half the tank water, then he's got nowhere to hide and not as much water to run away in, then you'll be able to get him

I am starting to get the same problem mine is getting more and more aggresive, (golden one) starting to attack the Neon Gourami too so think some point soon im gonna have to try and catch it.....not looking forward to that!!

I had terrible trouble catching my flying foxes when they had to go back to the shop.
Do what Miss Wiggle says - I'm afraid you will have to literally empty your tank before you'll be able to get him. Persevere though - it'll be more than worth it to save your neons.
