Just had a little look in my tank and noticed my male orrange guppys colour is changing from the orrange to an almost white??

It's not fury, fluffy or anything like that... just changing colour to white on one half of his body and fin... any ideas what could be wrong?

And he never chases any fish but all morning he keeps trying to nip other fish :S

I've got:

1 Male Guppy
2 Female Guppy
4 Guppy Fry (2-3 months old)
1 Spotted Molly
3 Assasin Snails
4 Amano Shrimp

In a 65Ltr tank, planted.

The white is strange, it's like a circle patch on his side/back. I'ts not a strong white, it's like his orange colour has faded off, he's not acting strange or anything like that.

If I had a camera I would take a photo of him.

Thanks :)

I don't think thats it, it's weird... never seen anything like it befor, tryed looking for pictures on google of it, but can't find anything like it.

It was just on his side/top but now it's going towards his tail fin, so it's no longer the shape of a circle.

I'll have to just keep my eye on him over the next few days.

He was the first fish I added to my tank, roughly a year ago... never had any problems with him, and he is quite a big male guppy. People on here thought it was female carrying fry... turns out hes just a fat male :p

You might want to post the question in the tropical emergencies section. There are people there who are quite knowledgeable about fish disorders. My own experiences are more with healthy thriving livebearers, so I am afraid that I am not much help with illnesses.
