I am thinking of getting a bigger tank but not sure what to get so after your help.

I am looking at getting a 400l tank but not sure which one to get. Do I get the rio 400 or the vision 450? Or does anybody recommend any other makes?

I think I am going for a South American theme and thinking of the following

20 Rummy Nose Tetras (love how they shoal together)
10 Cardinal Tetras
10 Red Phantom Tetra
10 Black Phantom Tetra
10 Emperor Tetra
20 Rio Salinas Corys
6 Black Venezualan Corys
6 Venezualan Corys
6 Panda Corys
Twig Catfish
2 Bristlenose Plecs

I would like a couple of pairs of Dwarf Cichlids but not sure on what to get.

Any help/feedback on this would be great

I think increasing the numbers of the shoaling fish would be better than the number of species.

I think a 10 gallon tank will suffice, dont worry about the fish, they will adapt and shrink:)

You should increase the levels of the shoaling fish and decrease some levels of the other fish.

Agreed, less variation more numbers. Big groups of fish are far more captivating that lots of different ones. My 425 litre tank is a maidenhead Aquatics seashell range. nice, but expensive when new. I certainly wouldnt pay retail price on them. ND Aquatics would give you a much better price on a tank that size, worth looking at their most recent price list.
