Not sure if this is in response to post #14? You said you had black neons in a 70 litre tank and green neons in a 125 litre tank, you could swap them.

I suppose I could, but they are a similar size

Full grown black neons definitely get significantly larger than green neons, if the future size means anything for you here with your options.
Some of my old ladies were pretty darn big

I have to admit I was not looking forward in changing fish over, especially when my 125 tank has lot of plants and wood, but I thought I will give it a go, I was surprised it was relatively easy, it's done, and looks better thanks all for your input this site is definitely the best on the Internet.
