I ordered a 2-2.5" electric blue dempsey from aquascapeonline.com because I can only find 1" fish in my LFS. I paid $40 for it thinking it was worth the money to get a decent sized one, but when it arrived it slightly longer than 1" in length. Also, it is not feeding well, so far. I'm going to have to get creative to get it to eat if it will at all.

you should contact them and let them try and rectify the mistake before posting things like this really.

I disagree...maybe someone who is about to order from them will see this and they will know to ask them directly to double check the size of the fish to make sure it is correct.

Have you taken it up with them, perhape they made a mistake. It never hurts to query what they have sent you!

I have sent them an email, but this was his response:

Please remind me next time you place an order and i will make it up to you.
Pedro

Now, how would that make you feel?

It would me personaly like sending them an e-mail demanding a full refund and possibley a credit since it is that you paid for one thing and got another

I would deal him a bone crushing bite to the base of the skull.

Couldn't get the poor fish to eat and he just got too weak to even swim against the current...dang you aquascapeonline!

That is very unlike the aquascape I have dealt with, sorry to hear about your Dempsy. I am not trying to defend aquascape or Pedro but on another fish-related forum I belong to Pedro is treated like a god for his excellent customer service and his great fish quality. I have only had a problem with aquascape once out of the many times I have ordered there, and I was fully reimbursed and recieved a written letter by Pedro for his apologizes.

Things must be taking a turn for the worse since no refund was offered to me...glad to hear he doesn't mess over everyone!

I sent an email requesting a refund, but so far it has been ignored.

It's the weekend, give them time. IME, you'll occasionally get instances like this where someone will screw up an order or you just get a bad batch of fish. It's when you get repeated problems that I start naming names.

If he doesn't respond in a few weeks, keep asking. From what i've seen, the onky problem with them at times is communication. My cousin was trying to order some ctenopomas from his once, and he would never reply back to the emails he was sent. He must have hundreds of people ordering at one time, give him time, keep asking, and try getting it straightened out.
