THAANKSSS im a new betta owner any tips for a 5.5 gallon tank i was cycling water for half a day and with lightly clouded water i decided to put my betta in is that bad or good

Cycling takes weeks, sometimes months. You cycled for half a day?

I would take out the betta and put him in a container with some clean water if possible. The store probably wont take him back, where did you get him?

Although this is probably true in this case it is not always necessarily true. Just thinking of algae and bacterial blooms etc.

Does the tank have a filter? If it does:

Do you know anybody else with an aquarium? Can you take some of their filter media? It will cycle your tank very quickly.

thanks i have a filter and i hope it cycled because i left my betta in over night

cycling takes a lot longer than just overnight

Just change the water every day 50% and test it with a kit.
