Bettas R Friends Not Chew Toys :p

Lol title is wierd but i had my female betta in view with my male for about 2 days he doesnt have a nest but hes flaring and swimmig everywhereee and i just released her..to my surprise shes finally gotten vertical bars!! First time in a while and now shes changing color Wat does the color mean during spawning??

Oh also hes ignoring her..they literally swim next to each other and dont do anything.. They r friends?? I dont want them to be friends at this point lol just a little more than friends!

Sometimes it just doesn't work out.... I would highly advise that you take her out now before anything bad happens

Rnt bettas supposed to be really aggressive..ive tried breeding these 2 before but they didnt do anything and lived together for a week...nuthig bad happened but then i bought another female and he nipped her and bit her to much and i didnt take her out in time.. I did but she didnt recover and died 4 days later now here we r shes more plump and im going for the second time i really hope this time is it !

Mine didnt build a nest until i releast her he attacked her i then put her back in her container in his tank and he started to build his nest then i releast her again later on and i got eggs

What temp is the tank
Also how hig is ur water in inches mine wouldnt breed also until i turned up the temp and liwered the water to 4" high

Mine is around 6-7 inches high and the temp is 76 cool enough for them to breed..they were just eating together tho..maybe these r just to friendly and ill have to get another female and condition her and start over... My lfs has males allllll the time and hardly females.. Its so hard to get one

Its hard to tell because individual fish are different.

One of my male bettas got loose into another male bettas tank, and they were fine, they never attacked eachother..... Some fish are just plain weird

LolI accidently had 2 males in at the same time i didt see them till sumthing jumped out of the tank! I guess he was chased out lol but then i had 2 females together and i thot females were good with each other but they nearly killed each other ..now these 2 flare at each other she goes nose down and everything and then just ignore each other its so wierd lol

Did your betta die when he jumped out of the tank? My friends died that way and I saw it on the ground next to the tank.

Nope he just jumped out when i saw him lol thank godd..eww that mustve been gross lol

I think mickos girlfriend got him a male Betta as a gift, put it in his tank with females and by the time he found out, the fish were already spawning
