After ages of not posting I'm back with new fishies!!
I rescue bettas from horrible horrible stores that treat them like they are nothing. Due to this, I have 8 bettas now (6 males and 2 females). All were found in different conditions (one was found in almost no water and black mold growing in his bowl for example).
When I find one in this condition...I just can't leave it to die. If I talk myself out of buying it, halfway home I'm either crying or changing my mind and going back to get him.
So...I have new pics!
This is one of our newest. He doesn't have a name yet and HATES having pictures taken. I really made him angry! He's so pretty. I don't know what kind of fins he'll have when they are all healthy and grown back. He's kind of dark green and pinkish-red

This is also a new baby and doesn't have a name yet. He was in pretty bad conditions and really wasn't in much water when I found him. I simply want to hit people who say they can live in an inch of water. It was very obvious when we found him he was NOT happy. He's being treated with some meds now, but he's still very unhappy and doesn't really swim around. He hides in the corner, so I'm just going to keep hoping he's okay. He's kind of a dark purple and red color.

This is our third no name fishy. I want to call him Watermelon, but my SO picked him out and refuses to name him that. He's the only betta we've ever had that wasn't a rescue. Jason saw him and just loved his coloring so we ended up getting him because well...I can't say no to a betta. He's a light green and bright pinkish-red

This is Blueberry. He's obviously in bad shape when it comes to his little fins. He was in very horrible conditions and was just laying on the bottom of the bowl when we found him. His tail is split down the middle and he's just torn up. He's very very pretty though and this wonderful velvet blue color.

This is Potato! He's my fave because I've had him the longest! He's such a sweetie! He circles his food and "kills" it before eating it. It's so cute! I'm a little worried because he's getting rather old now and he's starting to look droopy. He survived dropsy in August (thank god) so I'm hoping he can beat whatever is ailing him right now. I love him to death! So cute! He's also the pretty boy of the group. He's really beautiful, but insanely dumb.

This is Cotton Candy, named that for his color. He's a quiet, shy little fish whose fins are just now finally growing back. Ages ago I posted a pic of him right after we got him because I thought he had an infection or something, and in that pic he had all of his fins. The very damaged part basically has fallen off and he's finally growing new fins which look wonderful! They are very short...but hopefully he fills out quickly!

You have a huge heart to help all those babies.
