Betta Wont Nest

some bettas jus dont nest.
my new DT is giving me problems like that.

Tested water and it's still a high PH, cant drop it! 8.0! #129###! Why wont it drop!

Showed him the ladies....and he just tries to attack them. Still no sign of building a nest!

Have to give it time.

Mine next with out any of my girls insight but from what I hear it means they are happy. So just keep feeding him well and if he has enough space he will eventually start to nest

NOT a dud! Currently building a nest and looks a decent size, female in the flute since last night. So Im hoping for a release tomorrow.

Seems the boy is inexperianced, they embrace, but no eggs dropping etc. So I just have to give it time.

I think my Betta is depressed! Been moping in a corner for a few days near the surface. Still eats well and gets bursts of activity now and again.

Any ideas?
